1.   In Luke 9:43 the 1865 omits “Jesus”, undermining His deity.

Lu 9:43 (KJV) And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,

2.   In John 3:5 the 1865 says you must be “reborn” of water (baptismal regeneration)

John 3:5 (KJV) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

3.   In I Corintians 2:1 the 1865 changes “God” to “Christ” eliminating the Trinity in the context. 

1Co 2:1 (KJV) And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

1Co 2:1 (1602 Purified) Y yo hermanos, cuando yo vine a vosotros, no vine con excelencia de palabra o de sabiduría, para anunciaros el testimonio de Dios.

4.   In I Corinthians 1:18 the 1865 says “save themselves” instead of “are saved”.  

1Co 1:18 (KJV) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

1Co 1:18 (1602 Purified) Porque la predicación de la cruz, locura es, a la verdad, para los que perecen; mas para nosotros, que somos salvos, es poder de Dios.

5.   In Acts 8:16 the 1865 omits “Lord”, undermining His deity.

Ac 8:16 (KJV) (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Ac 8:16 (1602 Purified) (Porque aún no había caído sobre alguno de ellos, mas solamente eran bautizados en el nombre del Señor Jesús.)

6.   In Luke 1:15 the 1865 changes “Lord” to “God” and also changes “strong drink” to “cider”. 

Lu 1:15 (KJV) For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

Luk 1:15 (1602 Purified) Porque será grande delante del Señor; y no beberá vino ni bebida fermentada, y será lleno del Espíritu Santo, aun desde el vientre de su madre.

7.   In II Peter 1:19 in the 1865, Jesus Christ is referred to as “day star” (lucero) and in Isaiah 14:12 Satan is also referred to as “Day Star” (Lucero).

Isa 14:12 (KJV) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 2Pe 1:19 (KJV) We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

Isa 14:12 (1602 Purified) ¡Cómo caíste del cielo, oh Lucero, hijo de la mañana! 8.   In I Samuel 1:14 the 1865 says “digest thy wine” instead of “put away thy wine”.

1Sa 1:14 (KJV) And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.

1Sa 1:14 (1602 Purified) Entonces le dijo Elí: ¿Hasta cuándo estarás borracha?; aparta de ti tu vino.

9.   In II Samuel 22:27 the 1865 says to God, “thou art perverse” instead of “thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury”.

2Sa 22:27 (KJV) With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.

2Sa 22:27 (1602 Purified) Puro te mostrarás para con el puro, mas con el perverso te mostrarás rígido.

2Sa 22:27 (1865) Con el limpio eres limpio: mas con el perverso, eres perverso.

10. In 10 verses the 1865 says “Ojalá” (would Allah). (Ge 17:18, Ge 30:34, Nu 14:2, Nu 20:3, Nu 22:29, Job 13:5, Job 16:4, 1Co 4:8, Ga 5:12, Re 3:15)

Ge 17:18 (KJV) And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!

Ge 17:18 (1602 Purified) Y dijo Abraham a Dios: Oh que Ismael viva delante de ti.

Ge 17:18 (1865) Y dijo Abraham a Dios: Ojalá Ismael viva delante de tí.

 

Note: The Word "Ojalá" Comes from spain in a time when spain was under muslim rule.  The word literaly means "Oh, that Allah" and for this reason it should not be used in the bible.  old castilian spanish often instead uses the word "plugiese."
