My Doctrinal Statement

By Robert Ray Breaker III

I believe in the one and only true God existing in three Persons, The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,

each active in creation (Genesis 1:1,2, 26), and redemption (John 1:1-14).

I believe the King James Bible is the infallible, inerrant, inspired words of God; purified and preserved without provable error for us in

the English Language (Psalm 12:6,7).   It is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice,

and is so exalted that it is even magnified above the very name of Jesus (Psalms 138:2).

I believe that Adam was created in God's image (Genesis 1:26),  but through willful sin he fell.  All other men descended

from him are born in his (Adam's) image (Gen. 5:3) with a sinful nature (Romans 5:12), and are therefore under the

just condemnation of God (John 3:36), and in need of a Saviour (Acts 4:12) and the new birth (John 3:3,7, 1:12).

I believe that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16), was born of a virgin by the power of the

Holy Ghost (Luke 1:35), and that he shed his Divine blood (Acts 20:28) on the cross of Calvary as a vicarious substitute

for all sinners (1 Timothy 2:6).  He was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:4)

by his own power (John 10:18), and ascended to the right hand of the father, from whence He will personally return

for all those that accept him as their personal Saviour by faith (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17).

I believe that the penalty for sin has been paid by the one sacrifice forever of Jesus Christ on the cross

of Calvary (Hebrews 10:10-12) through the blood atonement (Leviticus 17:11, Romans 5:11),

offering himself as the sacrificial Lamb of God, but that His blood is not applied to a sinner's soul

until he accepts the free gift of eternal life by faith (Galatians 2:16).

I believe that salvation is offered freely (Romans 6:23) to all men, and is only obtained by grace through faith

(Acts 15:11, Ephesians 2:8) in the shed blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:25) without any mixture of works,

lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:9, Romans 3:28, 4:5).

I believe that once a sinner trusts Christ's shed blood and righteousness for salvation, he is immediately sealed

with the Holy Spirit of God until the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13), and is eternally secure (John 3:16, 10:27-29).

I believe that all true born again believers in Christ are a part of the body of Christ, a spiritual

organism the scripture calls the church (Ephesians. 1:22,23), which is Christ's bride. Once a man is born again, he should

then seek a Bible believing church as an organization in which to fellowship and hear the preaching of the word of God

to help him grow as a Christian. I do not believe there is more than one body or bride of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13).

I believe in the priesthood of every believer (Revelation 1:6, 5:10), and that God commands each believer to walk in the

spirit and not after the flesh (Galatians 5:16).  And, that believers are in the world, but not of the world, and should

live by the standards set forth in the word of God to show the world that they are different (2 Corinthians 6:14-17).

I believe that Satan is a real being (Matthew 4:10,11, Revelation 12:9), and that hell is a literal place of fiery torment

(Mark 9:46-48, Luke 16:24) for all souls that reject Jesus Christ and his sacrificial blood atonement for their sins,

and all souls therein are destined to an eternal lake of fire (Revelation 20:13-15).  I believe all men have a free will

to either choose or reject Christ as their Saviour (Joshua 24:15, Mark 1:15, John 3:18, Acts 17:30).

I believe in the imminent, pre-millennial, pre-tribulational return of Jesus Christ to this earth a second time.

First, in love to receive his bride unto himself at the rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17, and 1 Corinthians 15:51-55),

and secondly, in wrath to destroy those that are against him, and to set up a literal, visible kingdom of one

thousand years upon this earth with Him as the Ruler, as prophesied in the book of Revelation chapter twenty.

I believe in two distinct judgments to come for all individuals.  One, for a Christian, called the Judgment Seat of Christ,

not to judge whether or not he is saved or lost, but to determine his rewards in service for Christ

(1 Corinthians 3:11-15, and 2 Corinthians 5:10).  And, the other, called the Great White Throne Judgment,

for the lost who will be judged according to their works and cast into a lake of fire for rejecting Jesus Christ

as their Saviour. (Revelation 20:12-15).

I believe that marriage is a type of Christ and the church (Eph. 5), and since Christ cannot divorce his bride

(Hebrews 13:5) and believers cannot lose their salvation (1 John 5:11), that divorce should never be an option

for a Child of God (Matthew 19:8, Mark 10:5-9) as it breaks the type of Christ and the church.
