What is Life?

By Robert Breaker III

What is life? But a vivid quest,

And a search for things unknown.

A long quiry of things past

And things yet to come.

Remembrances of faces and relationships

Of days gone by;

Laughter, sadness, and peace,

At intervals befitting our mood.

Love hurts and comforts the soul,

While hate burns the coals of revenge.

Death lurks at every corner,

While life is birthed daily.

What is life?  Nay that we should ask

But rather live.
