Another Sleepless Night in Paradise

Another sleepless night in Paradise,
Or so that say it's so.
But I have found it Hell to be
As sleep will not come nor go.
I toss and I turn without end,
Always wishing I could dream,
Finally I almost find it,
And then I roll over and hit a beam.
Sleep is so alluring to me,
I long so much to reach it's bliss,
Yet all night awake I am,
And my desired goal I miss.
Dogs barking, Crickets creaking,
All make me want to kill,
So many noises in the night,
I find sleep to me they do not will.
The heavy sheets that cover me,
Too hot and then too cold,
Then I fear for the bed bugs,
That bite when you sleep, I'm told.
The more I try to get some rest,
The more it flees with haste.
I finally get off to sleep,
But nightmares make it a waste.
