GEORGE HOWE BREAKER AND HIS DESCENDENTS

George Howe Breaker is my second-great-grandfather.  He is the oldest son of Jacob Manley Cantey and Emma Juliette Breaker.  He was born August 26th, 1851 in New Bern, North Carolina and died Dec. 15, 1934 in Houston Texas.  He married Lillian Louisa Trapp, the daughter of a confederate veteran named Frank J. Trapp, on Jan. 4th, 1886 at the First Baptist church in Houston, Texas.  (Did Jacob Manly Cantey Breaker do the wedding?  I have no information on this, but I'd expect he'd want to perform his son's ceremony).

George was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church.  His name comes from his mother's cousin-in-law, Mr. George Howe, who adopted Miss Emma Juliet Juhan (George's mother) as his own daughter and paid for her education.  Emma was so thankful for his kindness, she must have named her son after him.

Little is known to me of George except that he was a lawyer, and he started the American Title and Guaranty company in Houston, Texas.

George also made a trip to England to visit the old Hornby castle (from Emma Juhan's line), and he traveled to Palestine.

George's children were Ruby (born Nov. 5,1886), Roland Trapp (born June 30, 1888), and Frank Juhan Breaker (born June 13, 1893).  I come from the line of Roland Trapp Breaker.
