THE JUHAN FAMILY
Emma Juliet Juhan, who married Jacob Manley Cantey Breaker (my third-great-grandfather), was born of the interesting Juhan family. The story goes, the Juhan family comes from French Huegonots, who fled Europe and religious persecution. Below is the first Juhan to leave and come to the Americas.
Francois Julian Juhan, who fled during the persecution of the protestants in France, becoming the first Juhan to come to America (the island of San Domingo).
The Juhan family ties in with the Hornby family, which can trace its roots back to Hornby castle in England. Emma Juhan's mother, in fact, was Henrietta Jane Hornby, a lady of nobility which can trace her family clear back to Saxon kings. So, The Breaker's have noble blood in them! How cool is that?
Emma Juliet Juhan, my third-great-grandmother. Her mother was an English noble woman who lived in Hornby Castle
