ROLAND TRAPP BREAKER Roland Trapp Breaker is my great-grandfather. He is the oldest son of George Howe Breaker and Lillian Trapp. Roland was a very smart man with a very high I.Q. He plotted out Harris County as surveyor, making plattes. A 1845 Houston directory advertises Roland as the Vice-President of the American Title and Guaranty Company. Roland was a hard worker, oftentimes working three or four days straight and then sleeping for days on end thereafter. His hobby was fixing clocks, something he probably picked up from his grandfather and Civil War veteran, Frank J. Trapp. Roland had a boat of his own, and Edgar (his son) would go out with him sailing (another Breaker trait). Roland died at age 55 or 57.
